After using Rent the Runway for a month, I can say that I am in love! I have had so much fun with it! Whenever I choose my items, I feel like I have stepped into a limitless closet full of the most beautiful pieces. I had a lot of questions before I started Rent the Runway, so I wanted to answer frequently asked questions. I am also going to share my honest review of Rent the Runway and the items I have gotten so far. By the way, I am not getting paid to write this post, but I do have a discount you can use for 40% off two months of a membership: RTRFAM59D4672.
Why did you sign up for a membership for Rent the Runway?
I was so tired of the same pieces in my closet. I started to get in a rut of what to wear. Rent the Runway has allowed me to express my love for fashion. It is so much fun to choose pieces that I would not normally buy and style them! I am able to look at my weeks ahead and choose pieces that will work with the weather and the events that I am attending! It also makes dressing for the office a lot more exciting!
How do memberships work?
I currently have a 8 piece membership. This means that I can choose 4 items at a time and switch them out once for that month. I have to send the 4 items I have back before I get the next 4 items. You can read about all of the membership options here.
How easy it is to get items delivered/return the items?
They make this process so easy! For Dallas, they use a company called Returnmates. I get a text message when my order is out for delivery. I just tell them to leave it in the leasing office in case I am not home. I can also give them my returns when they deliver my new items!
How long do you get to keep the items?
As long as you want! If you want new items, you have to send the old ones back.
The items I received for the month
This Ramy Brook dress was probably my favorite piece out of all of them! I did have to pin it (because it is fully open in the front). Other than that it fit perfectly!
I loved this Gague 81 top for going out! It is super easy to style and true to size.
The most perfect sweater for Valentine’s day from Cinq a Sept! I love all the details on it!
I loved this Amanda Uprichard dress, but I definitely could have sized up. It fit like a glove! It is the perfect black dress though.
I think I need to buy these jeans! I could have also sized up in them though. They fit very tight! I also love this Staud sweater. It was soo warm!
This Minkpink sweater has the cutest detail! I wore it a couple of times and it was true to size! If you like super soft sweaters, this one might not be for you (it was a little itchy).
I did not end up wearing this Ramy Brook top but it would be super cute for a nicer dinner or going out!
My final Rent the Runway review
If you can’t already tell, I would 1000% recommend getting a Rent the Runway membership! I promise that you will have so much fun with it! If you have any questions, leave a comment!
