I want to start this blog post with a big apology. I have completely neglected to post new blog posts for the last couple of months. One reason for this is because I felt like I was in a creative rut and didn’t want to force things. Another reason was I just got caught up in work and life. I never wanted this blog to be a second job for me; it is more so meant to be a creative outlet and a fun hobby. If you are a regular and read my posts and support me, thank you! I have so much fun sharing products I love, giving out advice, helping y’all shop, etc. I am excited to share more in 2023, whether it be once a week, every month, or every few months. I hope you look forward to my posts as much as I look forward to posting them. Now that we are in 2023, I want to start out the year sharing a few of my favorite purchases of 2022!
Ring Concierge Diamond Necklace
I bought this necklace as a Valentine’s gift to myself. The best presents are the ones you give yourself because you get exactly what you want so I highly recommend treating yourself. I have been trying to invest in fine jewelry for awhile now. I could give you a million reasons why is is such a good investment but I will spare you from the long explanation. I bought this specific necklace because it is dainty, eye catching, goes with everything, and I can easily stack it with a bigger diamond in the future.
Oribe Hair Alchemy
I look forward to using this serum every week because it makes my hair so soft and shiny. This serum is made to help strengthen your hair and make it more healthy. I have seen such a big difference in my hair since using it. Also, I have been using it every week and have had the same bottle since around June.
Veja Sneakers
I probably wear these at least once a week and will be purchasing a second pair. I had to wear them a couple of times to break them in, but now they are one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. They go with everything! You can wear them with leggings, dresses, jeans, etc. I bought a size 39 (usually 8.5 in sneakers).
The Five Minute Journal
If you want to become more grateful in 2023 and start each day off strong, then I highly recommend purchasing this journal. In the morning, you fill out 3 things you are grateful for, 3 things you can do to make the day great, and your daily affirmations. At night, you list 3 amazing things that happened during the day and what you could have done better. It takes less than 5 minutes to fill out and honestly it will help so much with your mindset.
UGG Ultra Mini Boots
(currently sold out, will update when back in stock)
I am so glad that UGGs made a comeback because they are basically the next best thing to wearing slippers out of the house. They are so warm and comfortable. I bought them a few weeks ago and I have already gotten a ton of use out of them. I got a size 8 in these (I am usually a size 8.5 or 9).
Drunk Elephant Babyfacial
For the longest time, I was getting breakouts on my cheeks that I could not get rid of unless I went and got a facial (which was at least $120 everytime). It was almost impossible to get rid of the texture on my skin until I bought the holy grail of all beauty products. This product is now my all-time favorite product. You put it on once a week and leave it on for about 20 minutes. My skin has become more clear and brighter. This product has also helped with fine lines on my forehead. It also lasts a long time (I have had the same bottle for 7 months so far).
Aritzia Effortless Pants
These pants are worth the money! The fabric is thick and not see through and they do not wrinkle. I love that I can wear them to work or for going out on the weekends to dinner/drinks. I have a smaller waist so it is hard to find pants that actually fit. I usually wear a 00 in pants, but these run small so I sized up to a 0.
Nike Training Shoes
I was on the hunt for a good pair of training shoes that would match a lot of my workout outfits (yes I am that girl). I have gotten so many compliments on these! They are super lightweight and great for weight lifting.
Lululemon Leggings
So many people say “I would never pay $100 for leggings.” I am here to say that they are missing out. I usually work out 4-5 times a week and will only wear Lululemon leggings (specifically the Wunder Train High Rise). They feel like butter, are breathable, and actually stay up during my workouts. I have worn all of my Lulu leggings so many times and they have held up with all of the washes (pro tip: I wash them with Woolite on a delicate cycle). If you are still not convinced of the price, Lululemon has a policy where you can switch out your leggings for a brand new pair if they get damaged (I have only had to do this once). I wear a size 4 (equivalent to an xs).
Amazon Shoulder Bag
I bought this bag during the Amazon Prime Sale. I didn’t want to bring out a nice bag to the bar just for it to get stolen or spilled on. This bag is the perfect size and goes with everything!
Calpak Lunch Bag
This bag was actually a re-purchase for me. Unfortunately, I accidentally left it in the fridge at work over the weekend and the cleaners threw it away. It was a super sad day. But I loved it so much that I had to buy another one. What I love about this bag is how much it fits. You can easily put a lot of containers in it and it also has side pockets to store things in as well.
That concludes my favorite purchases of 2022!
