Quarantine may be stopping us from doing a lot of things, but it can’t stop us from having bad nails! If you are like me, regular nail polish just does not last! I usually go to the nail salon every 3 weeks to get my nails done with powder/dip. I don’t know if it is just me, but having my nails done makes me feel more put together (lol). Because I couldn’t go to the nail salon, I started researching powder nail kits and came across one that had really good reviews! I came across one by a company called DipWell. I chose them because their polishes have calcium in them to strengthen your nails, they have a lot of colors to choose from, and they are cruelty free. I decided to order it so I could do my own powder/dip nails. They are getting a lot of orders right now (not surprised) so you have to go on their website and order in the morning because they limit the amount of orders they get per day. It is also taking them longer to make shipments (took about 2 weeks for me to get my kit).
When I got it, I was so excited to try it out. I got the “build you own kit” and choose from 3 colors. I chose a pink color, white, and the clear base (I recommend getting this one to make them last longer). You can also choose a “build you own kit” with 6 colors or choose from the other pre-made kits. The kit came with everything you need: the four polishes, powder colors, buffer, tool to push back your cuticles, brush cleaner, and the directions.
When doing my nails, I followed all of the directions closely. They were very easy to follow! Overall, I was very happy with how they came out! I have had them on for about a week now with no chips! I think in the future I would like to invest in a nail drill from Amazon because I think it would make buffing out my nails easier. I also did my mom’s nails and she was pleased with them as well!
I will say it is going to take some practice to figure out how to do them perfectly. I am no nail technician (yet lol), but I think they came out well for my first time. I also thought about how much money I will save doing them. The kit cost me about $50. That is one trip to the nail salon. I probably spend $500+ per year getting my nails done.
This post is not sponsored in any way! Just my honest opinion. I will include a “refer a friend” link here so you can get $15 off your first purchase! You can find the exact kit I bought here. Let me know if you decide to try it out!
xoxo
