How to Elevate Your Skincare Routine + Sephora Sale Picks

Sephora sale dates!

I have always liked to invest in good skincare products! I am extremely regimental so I have no problem with a 10 step skincare routine. If you have been reading my blog posts for awhile, you know that I also care about choosing clean beauty. I care about the food that I eat and the ingredients that are in my food, so I should care about what I put on my skin too! So many products have harmful ingredients so it’s important to be conscience about this. Recently, I have been wanting to elevate my skincare routine. I bought some new products that I am excited to try out and also have a few products I am eyeing! The Sephora sale is the perfect time to invest in good skincare products. I am going to share my elevated skincare routine + products you should buy from the Sephora sale.

Skincare Products:

1. Cleanser

This is probably the most important step of any skincare routine! I double cleanse when I wear makeup. I first use this Clinique take the day off cleansing balm. I have been using this product for years and it works wonders for getting your makeup off. It also does not dry out your skin. I was told that makeup wipes can tug at your face and cause wrinkles so I would opt for a balm or gel makeup remover. After I take off my makeup, I use the Clinique acne solutions cleansing foam. I have also been using this product for years and it helps prevent acne and keeps my skin clear.

2. Toner

Toner is great to get rid of excess dirt and clean out your pores. I use the Clinique acne solutions clarifying lotion. It has salicylic acid which helps prevent blackheads and really cleans out your pores. This is a product that I have been using for years too!

3. Medicated Lotion

The last Clinique product that I use is this all over clearing treatment. It has benzoyl peroxide in it which also helps with acne. This product was out of stock for years so I am glad they finally brought it back! Using the three acne solutions products keeps my skin clear. It’s the only thing that works for me!

4. Vitamin C Serum

I just bought this iNNBEAUTY Project vitamin c serum that I am really excited to use! It has amazing reviews and helps get rid of dark spots, firms your skin, and helps with uneven skin texture. It’s affordable and effective!

5. BHA

If you struggle with blackheads in your tzone area than this Paula’s Choice BHA product is for you! This works wonders for getting rid of your blackheads. I started using it 2 months ago and it has helped clear out my pores.

6. Moisturizer

I use this Origins ginzing moisturizer at night! I think it does a good job of keeping dryness away. Although, I do want to try some new products which I will get to later.

7. Eye Cream

I have been using the Origins ginzing eye cream for awhile now. It does make the area under your eye brighter but I would not say it’s life changing. It feels good when you put it on, but I want to find an eye cream that makes more of a difference!

8. Sunscreen

I got a sample of this Supergoop glow screen and have been loving it! My mom always told me that using sunscreen daily is the best way to prevent wrinkles so I have been trying to use it everyday. Also, you have to wear sunscreen when using a BHA because it makes your skin more sensitive to the sun.

9. Face Masks

I love doing a face masks at least once a week! It’s a great way to unwind and relax. Origins has some of the best face masks. I use the charcoal mask or 10 minute trouble mask when I am breaking out and it works wonders. I use the drink up intensive when my skin is feeling dry. If I want a deep exfoliation, then I use this rose clay mask.

10. Tanning Drops

These Isle of Paradise tanning drops are the best! It gives you a natural looking tan and doesn’t look splotchy. It’s also a clean product which is a plus. I put a couple of drops in my moisturizer and then apply it.

Products on my wishlist:

Unseen sunscreen: This is made by Supergoop, but I want to see if I like the unseen or glow sunscreen better!

Firming Moisturizer: There are a bunch of Drunk Elephant products that I want to try! They are on the pricier side, but they all are all made with clean ingredients which I love.

Retinol Oil: I have been wanting to add a retinol to my skincare routine and the Drunk Elephant one is top rated. It helps with hyperpigmentation, sun damage, blemishes, and locks in moisture.

Drunk Elephant duo: This is a duo kit from Sephora so lets you try two products before purchasing the full sizes. It has a moisturizer and glycolic serum.

Babyfacial: I am a huge fan of face masks and this one has great reviews! It is good for cleaning out your pores.

Perfume

I love trying out new perfumes. My goal is to be able to walk into a room and walk out and someone say “wow that girl smelled so good.” Maybe this is just me lol. But if you love the perfumes that leave a trail but are not too strong here are my top picks:

Channel Perfume: I love this one and this one!

Gucci Bloom

Makeup

1. Foundation

I have been loving this Ilia foundation! A clean product at Sephora. If you like light to medium coverage, then this is for you!

2. Powder

I have been using this Bare Minerals powder for years and love it! It gives my makeup a matte look and helps with shine.

3. Palette

If I could recommend any makeup product, I would HIGHLY recommend this Hourglass palette. It’s a little bit of a splurge but such a pretty palette and has completely elevated my makeup routine. It’s worth it because it has a bronzer, powder, two blushes, and highlighter.

4. Primer

I use this Tula primer for under my makeup (not available at Sephora) but I LOVE it because it blurs your pores and this Urban Decay primer for my eyes.

5. Mascara

I love any Tarte mascara! My favorite is the maneater (not sold at Sephora) but I also love this one that you can get from the Sephora sale.

6. Eyebrow Pencil

This brow pencil lasts forever!

Hair Products

Oribe products: Nothing smells better than Oribe hair products! Your hair will honestly smell amazing. I love this gold lust conditioner (helped a ton with repairing my hair) and this texturizing spray. I have also been using this strengthening serum which repairs split ends and makes your hair stronger.

IGK hair: I love this dry shampoo! It smells really good too.
