Raise your hand if you like long lashes! (I am raising my hand for sure) I love hearing about any tip on how to get my lashes longer naturally. I have never gotten extensions and do not plan on getting them. I’d rather keep my natural lashes strong and healthy. I am going to share all the advice I have for getting your lashes as long as they can be. I wouldn’t say my lashes are short but wouldn’t say they are naturally super long (so average lol), but I really feel like this routine makes them long and full so listen up!
One | Two | Three | Four | Five | Six
- Lash Serum: I started using a lash serum about two years ago and it has made a huge difference! You can find my favorite lash serum here! I use it every night before bed.
- Eyelash curler: I know there are so many different opinions on eyelash curlers. Do they pull out your lashes? Do they help? I did some research on eyelash curlers and the overarching opinion was that if you want to use one, you should use a good one. I use this one and love it! I haven’t noticed that it is pulling out my lashes and have been using it for awhile. Another big thing to do when using an eyelash curler is to use it before you put on your mascara. Also, make sure that you clean it every once in awhile. You can clean it with liquid makeup remover or rubbing alcohol.
- Primer: Let me tell you..using a primer is a game changer! I never used one for the longest time. I was watching Courtney Shield’s Instagram story one day (if you don’t follow her, you should! she is great!!) and saw that she used this primer. She was saying how she had been using it for a long time and it made such a difference in her lashes so I decided to try it out. I have no regrets getting it! It truly does make your lashes soo much longer. It is on the pricier side for a primer but it is soo worth it. I use this primer when I am going out somewhere, but if I am just staying at home or not doing much I use this drugstore one. If you want a cheaper option, this one is a close second to the Lancome one! Pro tip: when putting on your primer, make sure to cover your lashes fully (even the really short ones you can’t really see). I put on the primer on one eye and start from the bottom and wiggle up and then make sure I coat the top of my lashes. After I do this, I let it dry for about 30 seconds before putting on my first coat of mascara.
- First coat of mascara: I don’t know if it is just me, but I love the feeling of opening a new mascara. I also love trying out new mascaras. I always use two different mascaras at a time. The first mascara I use is one that I have recently opened. You can find the one I am using right now here. I have used this one a lot and looove it! I think it is really good at giving length!
- Second coat of mascara: When I open a new mascara, I always keep the second one to use as a second coat. Like I said, I am very eager when it comes to opening up a new mascara, but don’t want the old one to go to waste so I use it as a second coat. I am currently using this one. It pairs great with the other mascara because it is great at giving you volume!
And that’s on long lashes sis! Pretty simple, right? I am promising you that this routine will make a huge different in your lashes!
xoxo
